Top Ten Tuesday - Female Characters I Wish To Be As Brave As

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is 'characters that remind me of myself'. It was a topic that really interested me but I struggled to come up with a list. So, I thought I would change it up a bit and share the top 10 female characters that I wish to be as brave as.

There are many fierce heroines within fiction and in particular YA & MG fiction that have the potential to be great role models. This can be due to their bravery when faced with tough situations. I'll admit I'm not a courageous person, so these characters are a great inspiration to me.

1) Hermione Granger - Harry Potter Series

2) Katniss Everdeen - The Hunger Games Trilogy

3) Tris Prior - Divergent Trilogy

4) Citra Terranova - Arc of a Scythe Series

5) Inej Ghafa - Six of Crows Duology

6) Matilda Pages - Tilly and the Book Wanderers

7) Rumer Cross - Vicious Rumer

8) Luciana - The Golden Butterfly

9) Lil Potkin - Potkin and Stubbs

10) Ele - Outside

What female characters do you want to be as brave as? Let me know!

  1. Yeah, I think a lot of us wish we were as brave as these characters. :)

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

  2. That's lovely. I struggle with being courageous at times, too. It's helpful to have good role models for that.

    My TTT.

  3. I wish I could be as courageous as the heroine of Hidden Among the Stars by Melanie Dobson! This is my first week participating in TTT.

    1. I don’t know that book! I’ll have to check it out!

  4. So many brilliant characters here, as much as I'd like to think I can be brave, I'm definitely not as brave as Katniss, Hermione, Tris or Inej.
    My TTT:

  5. Great picks! I would have chosen Katniss had I thought of her. I did choose Hermoine. Oh, and I LOVE Six of Crows!!

  6. Inej is certainly inspirational. Great list!

  7. Katniss is a great pick. I had a character from Divergent that I mentioned who reminded me of myself, but that was Cara. Definitely a lot less brave.
