It's Monday! What are you Reading? #1

Hosted by The Book DateIt's Monday! What Are You Reading? Is a weekly meme where you share what you have recently read, what you are currently reading and what is up next on your TBR list. Few good books on the list this week.

Read Last Week

All About Mia was a fantastic read! A perfect book for anyone who doesn't know what they want to do with their life or who feels lost. Mia is a great character and I adored her! Lisa Williamson is great at writing YA fiction and it certainly shows. My review is here.

Currently Reading

I'm trying to work my way through American Gods and I am finding it rather difficult. The story is great but I'm just trying to take in all the information the book is churning out. It's also unlike anything I have read before so I am out of my comfort zone with it. I'll let you know if I manage to finish it.

I've been wanting to read The Finding of Martha Lost for ages and I'm really happy I've managed to get a review copy. I've read Caroline's book The Drowning of Arthur Braxton so I am familiar with her work. I am so excited to be reading it and I have a feeling I am going to really enjoy it.

Up Next

Flame in the Mist seems like the kind of YA novel that I will love and I can't wait to get stuck into it. From the description it seems like it is going to be very action packed with secrets added in. Plus it's set in Japan which is fab as I do love Japanese culture.

See you next Monday!

  1. I love American Gods. I can see how it would be slow going if you aren't used to that kind of book. There is so much going on that it is easy to get lost.

  2. The Finding of Martha Lost looks interesting. Thanks for sharing it and the others.

  3. I need to add Flame in the Mist to my wishlist. I've been seeing it around a lot and getting more and more curious. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  4. I've been wondering about American Gods since I'm hearing all about the show but I don't really know much about it. :) And the Japanese setting of Flame in the Mist does sound pretty cool.

  5. All About Mia and the Finding of Martha Lost are both going on my wishlist. I had a great week of reading and a fun mother's day. Come see what I'm reading now.

  6. I've heard some really good things about Flame in the Mist! I hope you enjoy it!
