August Wrap Up

Hello September! I honestly can't believe that its September already and soon Autumn will be on its way - time for jumpers, halloween, dark nights, snuggling up under the duvet and the gorgeous colours that autumn brings! I am looking forward to this month but first lets take a look back at what I got up to in August shall we?

Well for starters it was my birthday on the very first day of August! I turned 23 and although I wasn't looking forward to being another year older I did have a really nice, quiet day. I went to my Nan's for a family get together and it was lovely. We had lots of food and it was great to see the family. James was also there and it was great to have him there to celebrate with. I mainly got money for my birthday as I am saving up for a MacBook for when I start University but I did get a few amazing presents. Including these gorgeous Pandora Earrings that James got me. I love them and wear them all the time! James does spoil me sometimes!

Another exciting thing that happened in August was that I was voted my Slimming World group's Woman of the Year 2016! If you don't already know I joined Slimming World in January 2015 and have lost just under 5 stone and have been at my target weight since March this year. Throughout the year there are competitions in the groups and I was so proud and honoured to win this award. Loosing weight has not only made me look good but I also feel a lot better with myself mentally. I will probably do a whole post on how loosing weight has changed me for the better. I am in the criteria to go to the Woman of the Year district finals this month and I am so excited!

Apart from that August was quite a quiet month for me. I was working a lot and trying to save up as much money as I can for University. Me and James did take a trip to the seaside at the end of the month mind you! We went to Southend with his mum and auntie and it was great! The weather was gorgeous and it was just good to get some sea air! We had chips on the beach and played some mini golf! I lost though which wasn't good as I wanted to show him up as I am quite competitive! I've been to Southend many times and it's always good fun!

Books I've Read/Reviewed

August was all about my kindle! All of the books I read apart from one were digital copies. I'm not sure why this was but I just seemed to have a thing for my lovely kindle in August. The books I read in August were:

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K Rowling, John Tiffany and Jack Thorne
Because I Love You by Tori Rigby
Melody's Key by Dallas Coryell
Frostbitten by Heather Beck
A Step Towards Falling by Cammie McGovern
The House in Quill Court by Charlotte Betts

Books I Received

All of the books I received in August were also all digital copies. I think August was my month for digital books. The books I received in August were:

September Plans

September is the month where I move back to London to start my Masters in Creative, Digital and Professional Writing and I am so excited! So I will just be getting sorted for the move and I will also be leaving my current job which will be quite sad, but I am buzzing to start the next chapter of my life!

Hope September is a great month for you all! Enjoy the start of Autumn!
