About Me

Hello! I'm Amy! I'm 24 years old and currently reside in Ipswich, Suffolk. I am a university graduate having graduated from University of East London with a degree in Photography in 2014. I have also just finished doing my MA in Creative, Digital and Professional Writing at London Metropolitan University. My dream is to work within Marketing & Publicity in a Publishing House, which I am currently working towards.

As you may have gathered I am a big bookworm. I have loved books from a young age and over the years my love for them has grown and grown. I just love the idea of being able to sit down with something that can transport me to many different worlds with many different characters. Obviously I'd have a coffee beside me and a few candles lit.

I started Amy's Bookish Life in January 2016. I wanted to get my thoughts about books across, read new material, get contacts within the publishing industry and to share my love of books with the entire book loving community. Although I haven't been blogging for long I am absolutely loving it! My blog has grown with each post and I have already made a few contacts. I also love how accepting and kind the book blogging community is. I couldn't ask to be part of a better community.

As well as being a big reader I am also an amateur writer. I have recently started writing a novel which I am hoping to finish in the future. My dream would be to have a published book out in the world and I will do anything to make this happen.

As well as reading and writing I also love music, travelling, cooking (I am a vegetarian so love coming up with new veggie dishes to try), keeping fit (I do a lot of walking and also yoga), YouTube, Coffee, Netflix, meeting new people and just having fun.

I have been in a relationship with my boyfriend James for four years and it's still going strong. We met whilst I was in my second year of University and I haven't looked back. He means a lot to me and I don't know what I'd do without him. I do love him.

If you fancy a chat or want to ask me any questions do feel free! I want to make as many friends/contacts within the book blogging community as I can so don't be afraid.

Happy reading!
