Top Ten Tuesday: Books That Were a Chore to Get Through

Hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This weeks Top Ten Tuesday is all about books you had a hard time with. Sadly, you can't like every book you read which is shame but is also a fact of life. We aren't going to like everything. I have decided to list books that were a chore for me to get through. I'm not slating these books as others may like them, it's just my own personal opinion. What books did you find hard to get into?

1) Dream Me by Kathryn Berla

2) When We Collided by Emery Lord

3) The Best of Adam Sharp by Graeme Simsion

4) Just One Day by Gayle Forman

5) When Everything Feels Like the Movies by Raziel Reid

6) Hot Feminist by Polly Vernon

7) The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

8) An Abundance of Katherines by John Green

9) Once Upon a Road Trip by Angela N Blount

10) Miss Treadway and the Field of Stars by Miranda Emmerson

  1. I finished The Book Thief but ended up not liking it. And I need to try that John Green novel, I liked his others :) Great list, thank you for sharing.

  2. I loved The Book Thief and remember that i was shocked to find out after I read it that it was being marketed as a YA book. Nice list.

  3. I haven't read any of these. I agree that it is sad when you read a book and don't end up liking it. I've been saying that a lot today as I visit TTT posts! Here is my Top Ten Tuesday.

  4. I have The Book Thief in my 'TBR' pile, but have yet to read it. I've heard mostly positive things about this novel.

  5. The Book Thief is one of my favourite books, but it definitely seems like one of those you either love it or you hate it novels.
