In fact, the only thing she loves more than her bakery is curling up with her gorgeous boyfriend, Huckle. She's determined that this Christmas is going to be their best one yet, but life doesn't always work out as planned...
When Polly's best friend Kerensa turns up with a secret that threatens the life Polly and Huckle have built together, the future begins to look uncertain. But when the Death Brigade – a vicious anarchist group arisen from the dust of a fallen society – rolls into town, tragedy strikes. Someone is taken. Neither Nathan nor Bravo will allow that. The hunt is on – Bravo will not fail in his task to protect his friends.

So I've started my MA.. (an update!)

Well, hello there! First of all I'd like to apologise for the lack of posts over the past few weeks, an explanation is coming but I just want you all to know that this lack of activity hasn't been intentional and I actually do feel pretty bad. I love running this blog and the fact that I haven't been able to post much recently is quite heartbreaking.

Anyway, the past few weeks have been full of changes and because of this I have been very busy, like majorly busy. I have now moved in with James. I moved in with him two weeks ago and I have had to adjust to living in a new place. It has been a bit hard at times, but I am liking it so far and I like having a little bit of independence again. I have also started my new part time job. I was working at Morrisons as a Price Integrity Assistant. However, due to me moving away I left on 17th September. I was sad to leave but the girls I worked with got me a few leaving gifts and a card which I thought was really sweet. I now work as a Sales Assistant at WHSmiths in Westfield, Stratford in London. I work on the book department on a Saturday and tills on a Monday. I love being around books for my six hour shift on a Saturday it is amazing! Being around new book smell is so tantalising and makes me feel all warm and happy inside. My new colleagues all seem lovely too and I have managed to settle in well. The last thing is that I have now started my MA in Creative, Digital and Professional Writing at London Met. I am liking it so far, although it is going to be very intense and I know I am going to have a big work load. My classmates all seem nice and I am looking forward to getting stuck in more.

This post was meant to be a short and sweet post just to say that I haven't forgotten about this blog and that I will hopefully be up and posting again soon, I just need time to get into a new routine and get my life up and running again. Hope you all understand!

Review: Wrecked by Maria Padian

Wrecked by Maria Padian
Published by Algonquin Young Readers
Released 4th October 2016
368 Pages

Thank you to the publisher for sending me this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Everyone has heard a different version of what happened that night at MacCallum College. Haley was already in bed when her roommate, Jenny, arrived home shell-shocked from the wild Conundrum House party. Richard heard his housemate Jordan brag about the cute freshman he hooked up with. When Jenny formally accuses Jordan of rape, Haley and Richard find themselves pushed onto opposite sides of the school’s investigation. But conflicting interests fueling conflicting versions of the story may make bringing the truth to light nearly impossible--especially when reputations, relationships, and whole futures are riding on the verdict.

Maria Padian offers a kaleidoscopic view of a sexual assault on a college campus. Wrecked will leave readers thinking about how memory and identity, what’s at stake, and who sits in judgment shape what we all decide to believe about the truth.
